AceMoney Receipts
Sign in and manage your account
This page explains every way to sign in to AceMoney Receipts, what a guest account is, how to move to a new phone, and how to sign out or delete your account. The same choices appear in the phone app and in the desktop-browser version.
Ways to sign in
The Welcome page appears whenever you are signed out. It has a Sign In | Register toggle, an Email and a Password field, a divider Or continue with, provider buttons, and Continue as Guest.
Register with e-mail and password
- Tap Register.
- Enter your Email, a Password and the same password in Confirm Password.
- Tap Register. The message “Registration successful! Please check your email to verify your account.” confirms it.
- Verify your address (next section).
The password must be at least 8 characters and include uppercase, lowercase, a number and a special character; the app tells you if it does not. If the address is already in use you see “This email is already registered. Please sign in or use a different email.”
Sign in with e-mail and password
Leave Sign In selected, enter Email and Password, tap Sign In. A wrong password shows “Incorrect password. Please try again.”; an unknown address shows “No account found with this email.”
Sign in with Google, Apple or Microsoft
Tap the provider button under Or continue with: on the phone the three square buttons are labelled Google, Apple and Microsoft; in the web version they read as a Google button, Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Microsoft. Follow that provider’s own sign-in. No verification e-mail is needed. Cancelling the provider’s screen simply returns you to the Welcome page.
Continue as a guest
Tap Continue as Guest. The app works fully, and your receipts are stored under a guest identity that exists only on this device. In Settings > Account the profile row shows Anonymous. Guests can buy Receipts Pro on the phone (the store keeps the purchase); in the web version a guest is asked to create an account first.
Verify your e-mail address
After registering with e-mail, the Verify Your Email page appears until the address is confirmed. Open the message we sent, tap its link, and return to the app:
- I’ve Verified My Email: checks again; you see “Email verified! Welcome!” or “Email not yet verified. Please check your inbox and spam folder.”
- Resend Verification Email: sends a new message; the button counts down for a minute before it can be used again.
- Sign Out: returns to the Welcome page.
Reset a forgotten password
- On the Welcome page, with Sign In selected, type your e-mail address in Email.
- Tap Forgot Password?. The message “Password reset email sent. Check your inbox.” confirms it.
- Open the e-mail, follow its link to choose a new password, then sign in.
If you tap the link without typing an address first, the app says “Please enter your email first”.
Change your password
For accounts registered with e-mail: Settings > Account > Change Password. Enter Current Password, New Password and Confirm New Password, then tap Update. “Password changed successfully” confirms it. Google, Apple and Microsoft accounts change their password with that provider, not in the app.
Turn a guest account into a real account
- Open Settings > Account and tap Link Account (“Save your data permanently”).
- On the Welcome page that opens, register with e-mail or sign in with Google, Apple or Microsoft.
Your guest receipts move into the account. If you register with an e-mail address that already has an account, the guest’s receipts are merged into it.
Use a new phone, or several devices
Sign in with the same account on the new device. Your receipts, with their pictures, are stored in your account, so they appear there. Some things stay on the device they were made on and do not follow you:
- Mileage trips and vehicles.
- Documents in the AceMoney Filing Cabinet, unless the phone is connected to a document in AceMoney Studio through AceMoney Cloud; see AceMoney Filing Cabinet.
- Bill splits.
- The three budget gauges, the sort preference and the biometric-lock setting.
If you had Receipts Pro or the Mileage plan on the old phone, sign in with the same AceMoney account and the same store account (Apple ID or Google account) on the new one, then tap Settings > Account > Restore Purchases. A plan bought through one store may not be recognized on a phone that uses the other store; if the plan does not appear after restoring, contact support with your purchase receipt. See Receipts Pro and the Mileage plan.
Sign out
- Open Settings > Account and tap your name or e-mail (the row says Signed In and Tap to sign out).
- In the Sign Out? dialog, tap Sign Out.
Your receipts stay in your account and come back when you sign in again, on any device.
Find your User ID
Support may ask for your User ID, and the website deletion form accepts it in place of an e-mail address. Open Settings > Account > Show User ID; the Your User ID dialog shows it with a Copy button.
Delete your account in the app
- Open Settings > Account and tap Delete Account (in red).
- Read the Delete Account? dialog: “Are you HIGHLY sure? This action is IRREVERSIBLE. All your data, receipts, and account information will be PERMANENTLY DELETED and cannot be recovered.”
- Tap DELETE FOREVER.
- Confirm that it is you, before anything is erased: with e-mail, the Re-authentication Required dialog asks for your Password (tap Confirm & Delete); with Google, Apple or Microsoft, the sign-in of a provider on your account opens (usually the one you used this time), and you choose your account. A guest is not asked.
Cancel, or closing the sign-in, shows “Account deletion cancelled.” and deletes nothing. A failed confirmation (a wrong password, another account, no connection) also deletes nothing and shows “Couldn’t delete your account. Some of your data may already be gone — try again.”
“Account deleted successfully” confirms it and the Welcome page appears.
Delete your account or data from the website
If you no longer have the app, use the data deletion request page:
- Fill in Your name and Your email.
- In Subject, write “Data Deletion Request – AceMoney Receipts”.
- In Your message, give the e-mail address you sign in with (or your User ID), and say whether you want your data deleted or your data and your account.
- Send the form. Requests are processed within 30 days and confirmed by e-mail. Deletion is irreversible.
What deletion removes
Deleting the account removes, permanently:
- Every receipt and receipt picture in the account.
- The account names, payees and categories received from a paired AceMoney Classic.
- The account itself and its sign-in, and the app’s preferences on this device.
It also erases, from this phone, the things that were never in the account: mileage trips and vehicles, splits and Filing Cabinet documents. Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play; cancel it with the store, or it keeps renewing. See Receipts Pro and the Mileage plan.
Common questions
Can I use the same account on my phone and in the web version?
Yes. Sign in with the same e-mail, Google, Apple or Microsoft account and the same receipts appear in both places.
Can two people use one account on two phones?
Yes. Sign in with the same e-mail, Google, Apple or Microsoft account on both phones; every receipt either of you saves appears on both, and a paired AceMoney Classic receives receipts from both. Mileage trips, splits and the budget gauges stay on the phone that made them, and so do Filing Cabinet documents unless both phones are connected to the same AceMoney Studio document. A Receipts Pro or Mileage plan is attached to the account: sign in on the second phone and, if the plan does not show, tap Restore Purchases on the phone that bought it and sign in again on the other.
Can I change the e-mail address of my account?
Not inside the app. Contact support from the Support page with your current sign-in address and the new one.
I signed in with Google on my phone; can I sign in with e-mail on the web?
Use the same method everywhere. If you are not sure which method you used, open Settings > Account: the profile row shows an icon for the provider you signed in with.
Do I lose Receipts Pro when I sign out?
No. Store purchases belong to your Apple ID or Google account and are also attached to the AceMoney account you were signed in with when you bought. If the app shows you as free after signing back in, tap Restore Purchases.
What is the difference between signing out and deleting?
Signing out leaves everything in your account for next time. Deleting removes the account and its receipts for good.
Troubleshooting
- “Password must be at least 8 characters and include uppercase, lowercase, number, and special character.” Choose a longer password with all four kinds of characters.
- “Passwords do not match”. Retype the second field exactly like the first.
- The verification e-mail never arrives. Check the spam folder and that the address is spelled correctly; tap Resend Verification Email. If the countdown is running, wait for it to finish.
- “No account found with this email.” You registered with another address, or with Google, Apple or Microsoft; try those buttons, or switch to Register.
- “This email is already registered. Please sign in or use a different email.” Switch the toggle to Sign In, or tap Forgot Password? if you do not remember the password.
- My receipts vanished after I signed in. You are signed in to a different account, or you signed out of a guest account (Sign Out & Lose Data? warned that guest data is deleted). Sign in with the account you used before.
- “Google Sign-In failed”, “Apple Sign-In failed” or “Microsoft Sign-In failed”. Check your connection and try again; make sure you are signed in to that provider on the device. If it keeps failing, register with e-mail for now and contact support.
- “Could not continue as guest”. A connection is needed to create the guest identity; reconnect and try again.
- Delete Account stops with “Account deletion cancelled.” or “Couldn’t delete your account. Some of your data may already be gone — try again.” After a cancel, a wrong password or another account, nothing was deleted. If the connection dropped partway through, some data may already be gone, as the message says. Either way, tap Delete Account and confirm again with the account you signed in with.
- I deleted my account but the store still bills me. Cancel the subscription in the App Store or Google Play; deletion does not cancel store subscriptions.
