AceMoney Receipts
AceMoney Receipts guide
AceMoney Receipts turns paper receipts into tidy spending records: scan a receipt with the camera, let the app read the merchant, date and total, check it, and save it. The same app scans everyday documents into the AceMoney Filing Cabinet and shows charts of what you spend. The core is free and runs on iPhone, iPad and Android; a web version for desktop browsers shows the same receipts.
What Receipts does on each platform
iOS (iPhone and iPad)
Camera scanning with automatic edge detection and multi-page receipts, photo import, reading on the phone, the AceMoney Filing Cabinet, charts and budget gauges, Face ID or Touch ID lock, and pairing with AceMoney Classic. Receipts Pro is bought in the app through the App Store.
Android
The same feature set as iOS: scanning, photo import, on-device reading, the AceMoney Filing Cabinet, charts, fingerprint or face lock, and pairing with AceMoney Classic. Receipts Pro is bought in the app through Google Play.
Web
The web version is for desktop browsers only. You sign in with the same account and see the same receipts as on your phone; you can add receipts by hand, edit and delete them, search, look at charts and budget gauges, and pair with AceMoney Classic. There is no camera, no mileage tracking and no Filing Cabinet on the web. A phone or tablet browser is directed to the app instead. See Receipts on the web.

Pairing with AceMoney Classic, the earlier AceMoney program, is described from the desktop side in Receipts pairing for AceMoney Classic.
Where to start
New to the app? Read Get started first; it takes about five minutes and ends with your first saved receipt. If you already use the app and have a question, the Troubleshooting page and the FAQ are the quickest routes. For plan questions, see Receipts Pro and the Mileage plan.
Common questions
Is AceMoney Receipts free?
Yes. Scanning, reading on the phone, editing, search, charts, budget gauges, up to 5 documents in the AceMoney Filing Cabinet, the biometric lock and pairing with AceMoney Classic are all free. The free plan shows ads. Receipts Pro adds more, and AceMoney Cloud includes Receipts Pro; see Plans and licensing.
Do I need an account?
You can tap Continue as Guest and use everything without giving an e-mail address. Your receipts are then tied to that guest identity on that device only, and signing out deletes them, so link a real account before you change phones. See Sign in and your account.
Which currency and language does the app use?
Amounts are in US dollars, shown with the Amount ($) field, and the app is in English. If a receipt is in another currency, type the converted amount.
Does the app work with AceMoney Studio?
Receipts pairs with AceMoney Classic, the earlier AceMoney program, to send receipts to the desktop and receive account, payee and category names back. With AceMoney Cloud, signing in to Receipts with the same account turns on the Receipts Pro features, and a phone connected to a document in AceMoney Studio sends that document its Filing Cabinet documents and mileage drives, end-to-end encrypted. Troubleshooting
- The app asks for notification permission the moment it opens. That is normal; it asks once at first launch. Declining only stops announcements and the optional “drive detected” notification.
- I opened the web address on my phone and only see two store buttons. The web version is for desktop computers; on a phone or tablet, install the app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Something else is wrong. Go to Troubleshooting, or contact support from the Support page.
