AceMoney Studio license terms

Effective October 7, 2026

These terms are between you and MechCAD Software LLC. They apply when you use AceMoney Studio with a license, and to Studio Free.

1. Your license

When you buy AceMoney Studio, we give you a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use it on two computers at a time: the license has two seats, and each computer you activate takes one. A seat can be freed, so the license can move to another computer.

2. Updates

Includes 12 months of updates. The app never stops working. Keep getting updates for an optional $24.99/yr (available before your first year ends).

3. Activation

You activate AceMoney Studio with your license key and the email address you bought with; you don’t need an account. Once activated, the app checks its license on your computer and keeps working offline. When your computer is online, it also checks in with us as it starts, as our privacy policy describes.

4. Studio Free

Without a license, AceMoney Studio runs as Studio Free, which holds up to 3 accounts.

5. What you may not do

You may not:

  • use a license key on more computers at once than it has seats;
  • rent, lease or share a license key;
  • get around the license check;
  • remove notices from the app;
  • reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it (for example, EU law allows it for interoperability).

6. Transfer

You may transfer your license to another person, whole: with all its seats. Free every seat, then ask support, and we move the license to its new owner. Your copies then stop being licensed. A license’s seats can’t be split between owners.

7. Refunds

You can ask for a refund within 30 days of your purchase. If your purchase is refunded, the license is revoked. See the refund policy.

8. Other software in AceMoney Studio

AceMoney Studio includes open-source components, each under its own license. The app lists them under About → “Open-source licenses”.

9. Warranty and liability

AceMoney Studio is provided “as is”, to the extent the law allows.

Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before your claim.

Nothing in these terms limits what the law does not let us limit: your rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, your remedies under the EU Digital Content Directive when digital content does not conform, and our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the law of the country where you live. See also our terms of sale.
