What’s new in 1.0.2
New
- Changes send themselves: Studio sends your changes shortly after you make them, so your other computers stay current. Split lines and tags, budget amounts, exchange rates, security prices and reconciled statements now sync too.
- Classic’s bills: a scheduled transaction keeps its split lines and tags and its
BalanceorInterestformula, and books them for each due date. An import from Classic brings them. - File ▸ Archive… saves the transactions up to a date into a new Studio document and, if you choose, removes them from this one after a backup.
- Reports: favorite reports, Performance by investments, First day of the fiscal year, Last 30 days transactions, Group and Bank in Account balances, and Include transfers counted on both sides.
- Register: Copy and Paste, Move to account, Hide reconciled remembered for each account, and arithmetic in amount fields (type
100+20*3). - Exchange rates: the transfer window shows the rate it uses, and a pair with no stored rate is worked out through your base currency.
- Printing and exports: printed reports use a bundled font, so accented letters print correctly, and the Schedule and the Portfolio can be exported and printed.
- The Schedule page has a Calendar, a scheduled transaction can be entered into the register, and a Date format setting follows your region.
Improved
- A value in another currency uses the latest exchange rate everywhere, and a new account starts in your base currency.
- Import opens an AceMoney Classic .amj file directly and brings across more of its data.
- At a launch Studio posts every due payment of an automatic schedule, in date order, as AceMoney Classic does.
Fixed
- Many fixes from your feedback, including two in sync: two computers that changed the same record now end up the same, and an edit made while a sync was sending is no longer left behind.
Before you update
- The first time 1.0.2 opens a file it upgrades it once, after making a backup.
- A document that 1.0.0 or 1.0.1 imported from an AceMoney Classic XML export kept a copy of that export, which could include the Classic file’s password. This version removes it when you open the document; backups made before still contain it, so make a new backup, delete the older ones, and change that password elsewhere if you reused it.
- A scheduled transaction that Studio cannot post as it stands stays due and is not posted by itself. Check Document names it. You can delete it and add it again, or wait for what it names to arrive.
- Update Studio on every computer. A computer still on 1.0.1 sets aside the new kinds of record it does not know, and its sync takes a few seconds longer, until you update it.
